What are the procedures that a charity/IPC need to take note if there are any changes in the charity/IPC’s profile from time to time?
The charity should notify the COC/SA within 7 days if there are any changes in:
a) Composition of the governing board;
b) Personal details of governing board members;
c) Address of each immovable property;
d) Appointment or removal of trustees;
e) Changes in charity’s governing instruments; and
f) Any other organisational details such as key officers and contact information.
**If the charity is incorporated as a Society or CLG, certain updates such as addition and removal of governing board members, change of the charity’s name or registered address will have to be updated through lodgement with the Registry of Societies (via iROSES) or the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (via BizFile) respectively before the updates are filed on the Charity Portal. The data on the changes would be ported over in two working days and should be reflected under the respective modules of the “Update Charity Profile”, where the changes are effected.
