What is the lighter touch regime for Grantmakers?
In line with Government’s effort to promote Singapore as a philanthropic hub, the lighter touch regime for Grantmakers was designed to facilitate charity registration for these organisations. Under the lighter touch regime, some of the basic charity registration criteria such as having a minimum of three governing board members can be waived or relaxed, subject to review on a case-by-case basis.
For details, please refer to the “Guidance on Regulations of Grantmakers” which can be downloaded from the Charity Portal >> Guides, Templates and Awards.
