Will Additional Buyer’s Stamp Duty (ABSD) be payable if an individual or a company inherits a residential property (HDB or private), especially when the beneficiary already owns one or more residential properties?
Stamp duty is not payable for properties acquired by way of assent to the beneficiaries (whether an individual or an entity) in accordance to the Deceased's Will, Intestate Succession Act or Muslim Law of Inheritance.
