The "Scan Passport" function from the MyICA mobile app will only use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to capture the relevant information from the Machine-Readable Zone (MRZ) of the passport. Images of the passport biodata page will not be saved in the MyICA mobile app or personal mobile device during this process.
