I have saved my HFE letter application. When must I complete the application? What will happen if I do not complete my application by then?
The 2 steps to an HFE letter application must be completed within 30 calendar days of each other, including having co-applicants and occupiers, if any, to sign electronically via their Singpass and uploading all the required documents. The last day to complete Step 2 of your HFE letter application is stated in the HDB Flat Portal. If you are unable to do so, please start afresh from Step 1.

Please use the “Delete draft” button at the bottom of each page of your application.

How may I submit my HFE letter application if someone in my household does not have Singpass?
Please apply for a Singpass account or reset the password via the Singpass online request service.

What type of documents can be uploaded?
Please ensure that:

Your files are in PDF, JPG or PNG format, and are not encrypted.

Each file size is up to 5MB and the total size of all files is up to 40MB.

The file names have only alphabets, numbers, spaces, dashes (‘_’), hyphens (‘-‘) or full stops (‘.’).

If I have more than one payslip in a month, can I upload all of them?
Yes. The application e-Service can support the uploading of multiple documents. If you are requested to provide payslips, please provide all payslips for each month.

After I have applied for an HFE letter, will I receive an acknowledgement from HDB?
Yes. There will be an acknowledgement page with the details of your application. Log in to the HDB Flat Portal to check the status of your HFE letter application and view your HFE letter (when ready) by selecting My Flat Dashboard > I am a new/resale flat buyer.
