Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents (PRs) are eligible for subsidies if they are recommended for shingles vaccination under the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS). MediSave can also be used to cover the out-of-pocket expense at both CHAS GP clinics and polyclinics from mid-2026 onwards. More information on NAIS is available here.

If you are an eligible Singapore citizen aged (i) 60 years old and above, or (ii) 18 - 59 years old with certain medical conditions, the price fee caps of subsidised shingle vaccinations (per dose) after subsidies at CHAS GP clinics are:

  • Pioneer Generation: $38

  • Merdeka Generation/CHAS Blue/CHAS Orange: $75

  • CHAS Green/Non-CHAS: $150

At polyclinics and MOH-funded long-term care institutions, eligible Singaporeans and PRs may receive up to 75% subsidy, with additional subsidies for Pioneer Generation and Merdeka Generation seniors in the outpatient setting.

  • Pioneer Generation: Born on 31 Dec 1949 or earlier, and became a citizen on 31 Dec 1986 or earlier

  • Merdeka Generation: Born between 1 Jan 1950 - 31 Dec 1959, and became a citizen on 31 Dec 1996 or earlier

Do note that if you do not meet the eligibility criteria for shingles vaccination subsidies after being reviewed by your doctor, you will need to pay the charges as indicated by the clinic. Individuals are recommended to confirm the total cost with the clinic before proceeding with the vaccination.
