Can EMA arrange for someone to check and install a Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) for my home?

Updated by EMA

While EMA is unable to arrange for someone to check and install RCCBs, homeowners can engage a Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) directly to do so. It is recommended to contact a few LEWs before deciding who to engage.

Before engaging an LEW, you can also perform a 3-step test to check if your RCCB is working properly.

HDB residential premises that were built before 1985 did not come with RCCB or ELCB installed, unless homeowners installed one subsequently. If your HDB flat does not have an RCCB or ELCB installed, please contact HDB Branch Service Line at 6225 5432 for assistance.
