What should I do if my Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB) or Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) is faulty?
If your ELCB or RCCB is faulty, please engage a Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) to repair or replace it. It is recommended that you get quotations from a few LEWs before deciding who to engage.
For HDB flats, the cost of installing an RCCB is estimated to be about $500. Please note that repair and replacement of RCCBs are not eligible for HDB’s subsidised installation.
For private homes, the installation cost is estimated to be about $600. If rewiring works are required, the cost will vary depending on the scope of work involved to replace the existing wiring.
