What should preschools do if staff have concerns over their privacy due to installation of CCTVs?

Preschool Operational / Licensing Matters

Preschools and centre leaders should explain clearly to staff how the CCTV footage would be used and the safeguards in place to protect staff privacy. This includes no cameras in toilets and staff rest area, preschools’ strict control on access to CCTV footage and restricted access to parents to view footage.

Should the preschool intend to use the recording for any purposes, for example, live viewing, classroom observations, staff monitoring, which are beyond ECDA’s intended purposes, the preschools and centre leaders should engage staff and manage their concerns.
