Why did I receive an error message saying that my MediShield Life premiums are fully covered by the Government when redeeming my Healthpoints for premium discounts?
The Government covers the MediShield Life (MSHL) premiums for Government pensioners and their dependants on the Fixed Amount on Ward (FAW) and Co-payment on Ward (CPW) schemes. Members who are assessed to be eligible for Additional Premium Support (APS) also have their MSHL premiums covered by the Government for the approved validity period.
For these members, redemption of Healthpoints for MSHL premium discounts is not applicable as they are not required to pay MSHL premiums.
To make the most of your Healthpoints, you can redeem these for other rewards such as grocery vouchers, transport credits, or lifestyle benefits. More information can be found in HPB Rewards Programme FAQs.
