Why must I earn more than $500 from at least one platform to receive Platform Workers CPF Transition Support (PCTS)?
Platform Workers CPF Transition Support (PCTS) is intended to offset part of the year-on-year increase in a platform worker’s own share of CPF contributions to his Ordinary and Special or Retirement accounts. How much a platform worker will contribute to his CPF will be based on his net earnings from each platform.
A platform worker whose net earnings from each platform is less than or equal to $500 does not have to make his own share of CPF contributions. Given there is no increase in the platform worker’s share of his CPF contributions, he will not be eligible for PCTS.
