Why am I assigned this case even though I have stated my preference?
Although we do take note of the VCOs' preferences, case assignment is primarily done on a needs basis. We endeavour to make the best possible match, taking into account the VCO's profile, experience, and stated preferences where feasible.
In the long run, VCOs are ideally equipped to manage a range of cases, and each assignment is also an opportunity to build confidence and competency across different supervisee profiles. Do also note that static data does not always fully reflect the realities of a case.
If you feel that the case is not a suitable fit, you are welcome to connect with us, select Request > Change of Cases, and provide a brief elaboration.
If you would like more support in managing the case, we encourage you to connect with us, loop in your Lead Case Manager (LCM), or request for guidance from a VCO Mentor via the same link - Request > VCO Mentoring. You do not have to navigate the case alone.
