The following offenders who commit offences on or after the legislative amendments come into effect from 1 July 2014, and are sentenced to more than one year imprisonment, will be liable for Mandatory Aftercare Scheme (MAS):

a. Drug offenders;

b. Property offenders with previous record of imprisonment for drug offences;

c. Serious crime offenders;

d. Offenders with sentences of more than 15 years; or

e. Offenders sentenced to life imprisonment, if released
