What is the duration of the MAS?

The Mandatory Aftercare Scheme (MAS) will be for a period of up to 2 years or until the duration of the remission order (1/3 of the sentence), whichever is earlier. The progression between the different phases will depend on the ex-inmates' conduct, progress and response towards rehabilitation.
