Do teenagers get sent to changi prison?

Young offenders aged 16 to below 21 on the day of conviction may be sentenced to Reformative Training in lieu of any sentence by the High Court or a District court.

Those between 14 and below 16 years of age may also be sentenced to Reformative Training if they have, prior to conviction, been ordered to be sent to an approved school established under section 62 of the Children and Young Persons Act (Cap. 38).
