I encountered an error code when creating a passkey. What should I do?

Connection Issue

Your internet connection may be unstable or blocked.

1. Try any of these steps:

  • Disable any active VPN or firewalls.

  • Switch between Wi-Fi and Mobile Data.

  • Restart your device to refresh your network.

2. Retry the Passkey setup.

Device Setup Error

Your phone is having trouble creating the secure key.

1. Restart your phone and try again.

2. If it still fails, reinstall the Singpass app.

*Note: When you reinstall the Singpass app, you will need to go through the steps to onboard again.

3. If the error persists, your device hardware may not be compatible with Passkeys.

If you see any other code not mentioned above:

  1. Ensure your Singpass app is updated to the latest version.

  2. Disable your VPN connection (if any) and restart your device.

  3. Retry the setup.

If it still fails, you can continue to log in using other login methods such as Singpass QR login, Singpass ID and password, Face Verification, and SMS One-Time Password (OTP).
