1. What is the Singpass 6-digit passcode?

Your Singpass App Passcode is the 6-digit code you created when setting up the Singpass app. You can log in to digital services using the Singpass Passcode, or your phone’s native biometric feature (fingerprint / Face ID) instead of using your Singpass ID and password. It is different from your Singpass Account Password.

If you have forgotten your Passcode or would like to reset it, you can do so directly in the app.

Important note for users changing devices

If you are setting up the Singpass app on a new device using Bluetooth (app-to-app setup) but have forgotten your Passcode, tap ‘Use Alternative Method’ and proceed using SMS-OTP and Singpass Face Verification instead.

How to change your current Passcode (if you still remember it)

1. Open the Singpass app.

2. Tap the 'Settings' icon (top right).

3. Select Change app passcode.

4. Enter your current Passcode and set a new one.

How to reset your Passcode (if you forgot it)

Option 1: From the Passcode entry screen

• Tap Reset App.

• Follow the on-screen steps.

Option 2: From Settings

1. Open the Singpass app on your device.

2. Tap the ‘Settings’ icon (top right).

3. Scroll down and select ‘Reset this app’.

4. Tap ‘Next’, confirm “Are you sure?”, then tap ‘Reset’.

5. You will see “Your Singpass app has been reset successfully”, and tap Done.

6. On the next screen, tap the arrow to begin setting up your Singpass app in 3 steps.

7. Sign in using your Singpass ID + Password.

8. Complete SMS-OTP and Face Verification.

9. Confirm your details by ticking the checkboxes.

10. Create a new 6-digit Passcode when prompted.

Your Passcode has now been reset. You can log in with the new Passcode, or use biometrics (fingerprint/Face ID) if you have enabled it.

Quick tips:

• Your 6-digit Singpass App Passcode is not the same as your Singpass Account Password.

• If you forget your Singpass Password, you will need to reset it separately at https://go.gov.sg/singpass-reset-pw. 

• Only download the Singpass app from the official app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Huawei AppGallery).
