Why can't I access my account after multiple login attempts?
If you’re unable to access your account after several unsuccessful login attempts, your password login has been locked as a security measure to protect your account. You will receive an SMS notification confirming the password lock and instructions to reset your password.
Here’s what you can do to unlock your account:
1. Use the Singpass App
Even if your password login is locked, you can still securely access Singpass using the Singpass app without delay. Scan (or tap if you are using a mobile browser) the QR code on the login page using your Singpass app, and authenticate with your:
Face or fingerprint (if enabled on your device)
Six-digit app passcode

3. Change Your Singpass User ID
If you’re concerned about your NRIC being used as your default Singpass ID, you can change it to a unique identifier that is private and known only to you.
Log in to your account on the Singpass Portal.
Select the 'Update Profile' icon.
Click the 'Change Singpass ID' button next to your current Singpass ID.
Choose a new Singpass User ID that is not easy to guess and keep it private.
4. Report Harassment Attempts
If you suspect that there are malicious attempts to log in to your Singpass account, or if you feel you are being harassed, you may wish to file a police report to address the issue.
Additionally, to prevent further misuse, you can consider temporarily suspending your Singpass account. This will block access until you take further action. Learn more here.
