How do I get an appointment to see a speech therapist?

Updated by SGH-AHPEDIA
Get a referral from your doctor (GP, specialist, or hospital doctor). Your doctor will assess your swallowing difficulties and make a referral if needed. For patients who have existing doctor appointments at SGH, inform your doctor about your swallowing difficulties. They will refer you to Speech Therapy if needed. If you are currently warded, your ward doctor can make an internal referral so the Speech Therapist can see you in the ward. For patients who have existing appointments with the SGH Speech Therapy, follow-up appointments will typically be scheduled at the end of your session. If you have urgent swallowing concerns, call 6321 4377 to request an earlier appointment
