Will my wound/dialysis catheter dressing be replaced if it is removed for the Ultrasound scan?
For the ultrasound, we will remove the dressing over the dialysis catheter and place a temporary sterile transparent dressing (i.e Tegaderm) to reduce the risk of infection. After the scan, we will put temporary dressing using gauze, transparent dressing (i.e Tegaderm) with micropore tape. This is a clean dressing but not a full sterile dressing. Please change to your proper sterile dressing afterwards if needed.
