Do I need to change clothes for my ultrasound scan?

No, most scans do not require you to change clothes. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. For example, if your abdomen is being scanned, a two-piece outfit is better than a dress. Only certain types of scans may need you to wear a gown for better access to the area being examined. If your scan requires a change of clothing, our healthcare assistant will inform you and assist you before the procedure. For scans involving the neck region, please leave all neck accessories and earrings at home.
