If the wound is small and at the scanning site, we may cover it with a sterile transparent dressing such as Tegaderm to protect the site and allow the ultrasound probe to glide over safely. However, if the wound is large, infected, or causes significant discomfort, we may need to assess and possibly reschedule your scan. Contact us
