How long does my tracheoesophageal prosthesis (TEP) last?
As a general rule of thumb, a non-indwelling TEP (NiD) lasts about 3 months, and an indwelling TEP (Vega) lasts about 6 months. However, various factors could affect the lifespan of a TEP (such as diet, swallowing ability, general maintenance, and so on)
