Service means either handing delivery the document that is to be served personally to the person to be served, or sending that document to that person by registered post to their last known residential address, registered address or, for businesses, their ACRA registered address.

If the person to be served is a party to the proceedings, and has been notified of their right to access CJTS, the submission of documents through CJTS also constitutes service. The SCT may, in any particular case, order that a document be served on a person by any other means.
