What is an Expedited Protection Order (EPO) under POHA?
An EPO is a temporary order that is granted when urgent intervention is needed due to continuing or imminent harm which would have a substantial adverse effect on the victim. For example, a victim can apply for an EPO if there is use of violence or risk of violence.
