Who is eligible to apply to be a deputy under the Mental Capacity Act?
To be able to apply to be a deputy under the Mental Capacity Act, you must be a 'relevant person' aged 21 or older—usually an immediate family member, close friend, or caregiver—who can convince the Court that it is in P's best interests for you to act as deputy.
