Who is considered a suitable candidate to be appointed as a deputy?
A suitable candidate for deputyship is usually a close family member or trusted individual who has a genuine concern for P's wellbeing. The Court considers the applicant's actual relationship to P, their ability to act responsibly, and any potential conflicts of interest before making the appointment. Accordingly, not all "relevant persons" may be suitable candidates.
