I am not sure about the language or words to use when drafting Court Orders for matters in the Family Justice Courts. Where can I get some guidance or assistance?
The Family Orders Guide (FOG), initiated by the Family Justice Courts, seeks to provide guidance to Court users on the language of commonly used orders. The FOG is not intended as, nor should it replace, legal advice. The FOG user should ensure that the legal effect(s) of the order(s) that he/she chooses to adopt is well understood. In the event that there are questions or concerns, legal advice should be sought.
Currently, the Family Orders Guide has suggested draft orders for matters relating to:
Divorce -
Maintenance Orders
Division of Matrimonial Assets Orders
Child-Related Orders
Procedural Orders
Probate Orders
Mental Capacity Act Orders
Adoption Orders
