What should I prepare for the Criminal pre-trial conference?
Prior to the Criminal PTC, you should consider whether you wish to address the following matters during the PTC:
Check if the Prosecution intends to make use of any written statement given by you to the police and if so, you may request for a copy of the statement.
Indicate to the Court the number of witnesses that you wish to call at the trial.
If you require a translator for yourself or your witnesses, you should inform the Judge that you would require the assistance of an interpreter for the trial. The Judge may also ask you for an indication of the legal defence that you intend to rely on. It would therefore be useful for you to think about this before the Criminal PTC.
