What type of security may be furnished for the bail or personal bond?
The type of security that may be furnished for bail or personal bond depends on the amount involved. The general guidelines are as follows:
For Bail/Personal Bond Amounts of $15,000 and Below: Security may be provided by pledging personal property, including items such as jewellery or furniture if they have been fully paid for.
For Bail/Personal Bond Amounts Above $15,000: Security is generally provided by means of cash or cash equivalent, such as a cashier's order.
