How is the bail or personal bond amount determined by the Court?
The bail amount is determined by the Court based on several considerations. Such considerations may include:
Nature, number, and seriousness of the offence(s) committed
Severity of the prescribed punishments for the offence(s)
Character (including criminal history), financial means and standing of the accused
Potential Flight Risk or threat to public safety
Likelihood of compliance with the bail or personal bond conditions
