The type of security that may be furnished for bail or personal bond depends on the amount involved. The general guidelines are as follows:

  • For Bail/Personal Bond Amounts of $15,000 and Below: Security may be provided by pledging personal property, including items such as jewellery or furniture if they have been fully paid for.

  • For Bail/Personal Bond Amounts Above $15,000: Security is generally provided by means of cash or cash equivalent, such as a cashier's order.
