What is the procedure to apply for a Final Judgment?

If you are the Applicant, you can apply for / extract your Final Judgment through eLitigation at the Singapore Courts Service Bureau.

If you are the Respondent, you must first apply for the Court's permission to apply for your Final Judgment. Apply by summons, with a supporting affidavit explaining why you, and not the Plaintiff, have to apply for the Final Judgment. You may do so through eLitigation at the Singapore Courts Service Bureau.

Note that application for the Final Judgment can only be done after all ancillary matters have been concluded, or 3 months after Interim Judgment is granted, whichever comes later. The application for Final Judgment must also be done within 1 year of Interim Judgment or within 3 months of the Ancillary Order, failing which, a Summons to extend time has to be filed first.

You are encouraged to book an appointment online before your visit. You may visit the Service Bureau without an appointment but may need to wait longer for service.
