How and when do I apply for special consideration?
All special consideration (SC) applications with relevant supporting information must be submitted to SEAB no later than three working days after the day of your affected paper. Please refer to the following on how to submit your SC application.
School candidates
Please approach your school teacher to apply for SC through your school, including examination papers conducted at centralised examination centres, such as Foreign Language subject papers.
Private candidates
If you are a private individual who registered for your examination(s) via SEAB’s Candidates Portal, you may apply for SC through the portal. You may login to Candidates Portal using your Singpass or the username and password used when you registered for your national examinations. Please refer to this guide for the steps to complete your SC application.
If you registered for your examination(s) through a private centre, please approach your centre coordinators for assistance.
Late submissions or applications with incomplete information or supporting documents will not be processed.
