Do I need to be enrolled in any school to register as a private candidate for the GCE-Level examinations?

You can choose to study on your own or enrol in a private institution to prepare for your GCE-Level examinations as a private candidate. You do not have to submit any documentary proof of your enrolment in a private institution during your registration.

If you are registering as a private candidate for Science subjects with laboratory-based components (e.g. Science Practical papers), you must have sat for the same Science subject previously. Otherwise, you will need to attend a course of instruction in Science practical at any institute/school. You must complete the course of instruction in Science practical before the date of your practical paper examination.
