I am not trained in CPR-AED procedures. Can I still respond to cases when alerted through the myResponder App?
Even if you are untrained, you can help to locate and retrieve the nearest AED, be guided by SCDF's 995 call operators to perform chest compressions on suspected cardiac arrest victims, do crowd-control, contribute first aid items or sources of water (for minor fire cases), direct SCDF emergency personnel to the exact incident site upon arrival, update them on what has happened when they arrive etc.
Going for training makes it easier to get it right and perform good CPR. You can acquire CPR-AED skills by attending SCDF's Community Emergency Preparedness Programme (CEPP).
