You can check scams received on platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram using the ScamShield app. For the entire checking flow and how it works, please refer to 'Check for Scams' in our product guide.

What about other messaging platforms such as WeChat, Facebook Messenger or TikTok?

We understand there are many platforms for scammers to approach our users. However, the options we currently provide in our checking flow are the platforms with the most number of prevalent scams (Source: Total Scam and Cybercrime Cases Mid-Year 2023).

If you come across a suspicious link, phone number or message on any of these platforms, please submit a scam report anyway by selecting "Others" as a platform. This will help us review the message and if deemed suspicious, the phone number or link can be blocked from all platforms.
