What should be the reporting year for my society for the submission of Annual Return?

Updated by ROS

The Annual Return submission form will pre-populate the financial reporting period under "Reporting Period for Statement of Accounts From and To" based on the society's last submitted Annual Return. The society must review and amend the pre-populated dates if they do not reflect the actual financial period to be reported.

The "Reporting Year of Annual Returns" will be populated automatically based on the "To" date of the financial reporting period entered and cannot be edited manually. For example, if a society's last Annual Return was submitted for the reporting year 2000, the system will pre-populate the next financial reporting period with dates in 2001. If the society wishes to submit an Annual Return for a later period, such as 1 Apr 2024 to 31 Mar 2025, it should amend the "From" date to “1 Apr 2024” and the "To" to “31 Mar 2025” accordingly. The reporting year will then be automatically populated as 2025, based on the year of the "To" date.
