I registered my marriage in Singapore using a foreign ID before obtaining Singapore citizenship/PR. Will my Singpass marital status be updated automatically?
If the marriage was registered in Singapore with a foreign ID, your marital status may not be updated automatically to your current ID (SC/PR). In that case, you will need to submit an application to link your current NRIC to the marriage record.
You can submit an online application through the 'Our Marriage Journey' portal at https://www.marriage.gov.sg/marital-status-update under “Linking New ID to Local Marital Record”.
