Who should attend the appointment with ROMM?
Soon to-wed couples and the bride's wali or next of kin (if applicable) are required to attend the appointment with ROMM. This is to ensure that there are no obstacles to the marriage in accordance with Administration of Muslim Law Act (AMLA). The Kadi/Naib Kadi will not be able to approve a marriage application if the soon to-wed couples do not attend their appointment with ROMM.
