If I have Wali related issues (e.g, my Wali does not consent to my marriage application, is imprisoned / bedridden / or whereabouts unknown), should I proceed to make an appointment with ROMM?

Soon to-wed couples and the bride's wali or next of kin (if applicable) are required to attend the appointment with ROMM. This is to ensure that there are no obstacles to the marriage in accordance with Administration of Muslim Law Act (AMLA).
