Is OBS well prepared or trained in medical treatment for insect, snake or marine creature attack?

OBS instructors have undergone rigorous training, skills and safety certification such as the Wilderness Advanced First Aid course..

OBS has on-site medical centre staffed by Registered Nurses. Our instructors and nurses will treat minor ailments and injuries, and if a student requires further medical attention (e.g. doctor’s consultation), they will be sent to the nearest clinic or hospital.

 

In the event of medical emergency, OBS has access to a fleet of land and sea vehicles to support fast evacuation to emergency medical services such as an ambulance or A&E.
