To report a death that occurred outside Singapore, you will need to provide the following documents:

  • Your identification document (NRIC or passport)

  • Death certificate issued by the foreign authority (or certified true copy of the death certificate)

  • Deceased's Singapore identification documents (NRIC, Singapore passport or Long Term Pass card)

  • Coffin import/export permit (if available)

  • Burial/cremation permit (if available)

  • If you are a proxy, a letter of authorisation and identification document of the deceased's next-of-kin.

You may report the death of your family member (Singapore resident or Long-Term Pass holder) who died overseas to ICA via FormSG.
