What is the Wills Registry?

Updated by MYLEGACY

The Wills Registry is a service provided by the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) that allows you to search for as well as deposit new will records. Details of the person making the will (i.e. testator), date of the will, details of the person who drew up the will and details of where the will is held will be recorded. The registry does not store your actual physical will. The validity of your will also does not depend on whether you have deposited your will information. Information stored in the registry will be kept for 120 years from the date of birth of the person making the will.

You may read more FAQs via the SAL website.
