I have a hardcopy of the registered LPA. Can it be used for transactions?
If the hardcopy is the original registered LPA and not a print-out of a digitally registered LPA, yes, you can.
However, it's recommended that you use the digital LPA to make transactions.
This is because the hardcopy LPA may not be updated to reflect changes due to events such as death or bankruptcy of a Donee. This affects the time it takes for you to complete a transaction as the organisation needs to manually verify the validity of a hardcopy LPA with the Office of the Public Guardian.
To use the digital LPA to make transactions, log in to Office of the Public Guardian Online (OPGO) with your Singpass and share the LPA with the organisation you're transacting with. You may refer to the OPGO Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) for step-by-step guidance on how to send the LPA.
