I do not have a smart device / my phone is unable to install the Singpass application, but I would like to make an Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA). How can I proceed?
To enjoy the benefit of making an online Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), we would like to encourage you to approach persons you trust, such as your family members or loved ones, to set up your Singpass app on their spare smart device. Please follow the instructions below to set up your Singpass on the spare device:
If the smart device's Singpass app has an existing Singpass account logged in, click on Settings on the Singpass app and reset the app following the in-app instructions.
Set up the Singpass app with your Singpass Account by entering your Singpass ID and password. For local users with a mobile number registered with Singpass, enter the SMS One-Time Password sent to your mobile number. You may be prompted to perform a face scan enabled by Singpass Face Verification to authenticate your identity.
Follow the in-app instructions to set up your 6-digit app passcode or biometric option.
Reset the Singpass app using Step 1 after you have completed your LPA-related transactions before returning the phone.
If you are unable to obtain a spare smart device, you may submit a hardcopy LPA form instead. Mail in or drop off the completed hardcopy LPA application to the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) at 3 Bishan Place #03-00, CPF Bishan Building, Singapore 579838. Do note that the acceptance of a hardcopy LPA is subject to OPG's approval.
