I need assistance in will-writing. Are there any avenues for help?
You may read up for more information at Write a will - MyLegacy@LifeSG.
If you require in-depth information or guidance, you may wish to consider seeking independent legal advice. Wills are private legal instruments, and it is best to engage a lawyer to help you in drafting a will. Lawyers – particularly those specialising in wills and probate matters – are trained in the law relating to wills. They are therefore best placed to ensure a person’s will is drafted to accurately reflect that person’s wishes for how her estate is to be distributed after her death.
You may refer to the Ministry of Law’s website for a list of lawyers or law practices in Singapore. In particular, you may click on “Advanced Search” and select “Wills, Probate and Administration of Estate” under “Practice Area(s)”, before clicking “Search” to view the list of lawyers or law practices that practise that area of law. The Law Society of Singapore also provides a list of lawyers specialising in wills and probate matters.
