The risk rating under the CHARM framework is determined by evaluating several key factors:

a. Business nature and operations

b. History of compliance with Halal requirements

c. Quality of HalMQ system implementation

d. Effectiveness of documentation management, including accuracy and completeness of records (e.g. Halal certificates, HalMQ documentation etc.)

Do note that CHARM framework does not replace the existing HalMQ system.
