Is it true that it is not necessary for me to do Wasiat since my estate will be distributed using Faraid?

While the distribution of estate follows Faraid law, however without a Wasiat, the process of administering the deceased’s estate will be more costly and the duration will be much longer than if one has a Wasiat. A family member will need to apply to the Public Trustee Office (PTO) to be legally appointed as an administrator before they can manage the deceased’s estate. This process can typically take up to 6 months for the appointment and will incur several administrative costs before they can distribute the estate.
