What can I do if I was wrongfully dismissed and lost my Government-Paid Leave (GPL) entitlements?

Updated by MSF

If you believe you have been wrongfully dismissed, you should file a wrongful dismissal claim with the Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management (TADM) within one month from your last day of employment.

What happens after you file a claim

If your claim cannot be resolved at TADM, it will be referred to the Employment Claims Tribunals (ECT). If the ECT finds that the dismissal was wrongful, your employer may be ordered to either reinstate you to your former position and compensate you for any income lost, or pay you compensation in lieu.

If you are a pregnant employee

If you were dismissed without sufficient cause while pregnant, you may also file a claim with TADM, provided you have worked for the company for at least 3 months.
